Chris has over 25 years of experience in the helping field in the following areas:
Chris received her Bachelor’s Degree of Child & Youth Care in 2002, from the University of Victoria, British Columbia. She then joined a Child & Youth Mental Health team as a therapist in a community in northeastern BC, where she provided therapeutic services to children, youth and their families.
While she was working on a Master’s Degree, she joined a multidisciplinary medical and mental health team on an adolescent psychiatric unit at a hospital in Lower Mainland, BC. Upon completing her Master’s Degree of Counselling Psychology, from Trinity Western University in Langley, BC, she joined a clinical team as a psychotherapist at a private addictions treatment centre for men.
She has recently opened a private therapeutic practice at the northern end of the Sunshine Coast, in the community of Powell River, and she provides individual, couples, child & youth, and family counselling services.
